Must I be a member of a golf club to enter?
Yes, you must hold an official handicap at your home club, though you may also submit scores from a nominated secondary club.
I play off 25. Is it worth my while to enter?
It certainly is! Because the Real Open Golf Tournament is divided into handicap-based categories, you will be competing on equal terms with scratch players.
Can I count my best practice-round scores?
No - to be eligible for entry, your scores must come from qualifying competitions at your home club or your nominated secondary club. Scores which cannot be verified will be removed from the leaderboard.
How many scores can I submit?
As many as you like, provided they all conform to Real Open Golf rules ? but only your four best scores will count.
I?ll be 18 this year. Should I enter as a Junior or an Adult?
You should enter as a Junior. You will be upgraded to Adult membership (at no extra cost) when you reach 18, and you will compete in one of the Adult categories.
Does my subscription cover a full 12 months, or does it expire with the calendar year?
Your subscription lasts for 12 months from the date of payment, regardless of season dates.
When will the Final be played?
The 2008 Final will be held at The Belfry on 9th May 2009.
How many players will qualify for the Final?
There will be 100 finalists, comprising the top players from each of the four categories for Men, Women and Juniors.
